MD5-based encryption scheme on both client and server machines to allow 'pretty strong' password protection for web-based Perl/CGI applications. With this scheme, the browser JavaScript encrypts the password on the client's machine, and so the password is never stored or transmitted as plain text. Does NOT use .htaccess or cookies!
