| Title: | Choose the Right Wedding Shoes |
| Article: | Every aspect of your wedding day attire is important, but perhaps one of the most important features is your footwear. Wedding shoes are, if they are done right, beautiful and perfect complements to the overall look. So they are not to be rushed when it comes to choosing. When you have got your perfect pair though, you then have to spend some time breaking them in so that you don’t have to experience excruciating agony when you walk down the aisle. It is worth getting used to them, because if you don’t you could be in great discomfort on what is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. A few weeks before your wedding day, try wearing them around the house to break them in. It is, of course, not advisable to wear them outside the house. Walking around in them weeks in advance of the day and indoors will give you the opportunity to see how they feel, and how they look. As the big day draws near, increase the amount of time you spend in them on a gradual basis. You don’t want to wear them out, but being used to them is a whole lot better than finding them impossible to wear. Your main aim at this stage is to get to a point where you feel you could quite easily spend four or five hours in them. You also need to think about the day itself. If you would like the chance to feel more comfortable at the reception, for example, do what many brides do these days, and arrange for a second, more comfortable pair to be available. The one thing you absolutely must do in this situation is ensure that this second pair is the same height as the first. This will stop your dress from dragging on the floor as you dance with people at the reception. One extra tip that some brides are finding incredibly useful is to ensure they are ready for any surface at the venues on the day. You may find that you are lucky enough to be spending most of the day on carpet. However, due to the nature of reception venues as well as churches, it may well be the case that you will find yourself on a slippery surface. To combat this, a neat little trick can be employed to make sure you don’t fall foul of a slick floor. Attach some adhesive pads to the bottom of the shoes. Don’t attach too much because then you will find yourself showing it, or making a funny noise when you walk. These pads are widely available in shoe stores, so make sure you consider getting some. Even if you don’t end up on a slippery floor, you will feel better for knowing that you are prepared. Looking after your wedding shoes is important, and part of that is making sure your feet are ready. Break them in, find a second pair, and grab some pads to help you stick to the floors. This should make your day memorable. About the author of this article: trevor richards is writing on behalf of queens and bowl, uk suppliers of wedding shoes . |
