This way, you can get a feel for wood and the way that it will react when you work with it. The better feel that you get for the wood the easier it will be to work well with the wood when you are using it. Making sure that you understand how you are going to use the wood to make what you want to create. This means, you want to be sure that you have a plan for your piece of wood before you even start to cut. While you are deciding on a plan, it may take some time to decide what you are going to do.
