Emotional Weight Loss, Part Four

Article:What happens when we dont deal with any underlying issues?

Mental Suppression

If an issue is not dealt with mentally then it is suppressed and passed on to the emotional or physical part of ourselves.

If you are stronger emotionally than you are physically, the stress will present itself as a physical ailment, injury or illness.

Emotional Suppression

If an issue is not dealt with emotionally then it is suppressed and passed on to the mental or physical part of ourselves.

If you are stronger physically than you are mentally, the stress will present itself as a mental weakness.

Physical Suppression

If an issue is not dealt with physically then it is suppressed and passed on to the mental or emotional part of ourselves.

If you are stronger mentally than you are emotionally, the stress will present itself as an emotional weakness.

Overall, if an issue is not dealt with mentally, physically or emotionally an imbalance (or energy blockage) occurs. This energy blockage is stored in a muscle, organ or meridian and it is here that dis ease manifests as a symptom (such as an injury, ailment or illness) to let you know that something is not in balance in your energy system (or body).

Traditionally males will deal with any external emotional pressure (or stress) by internalizing (or suppressing it) it. As a male it is not to talk about our problems and therefore we tend to deal with it in our own way. Which is usually to remove ourselves from it and hope it doesnt come back to haunt us.

Females on the other hand tend to deal with any external emotional pressure (or stress) by externalizing (or expressing) it. This is a very positive step as it allows us to own the problem and when we own it we can then manage it.

By suppressing it we will look to cover the issue with excuses (such as no time, no sleep, too much work, etc) so that we bury the real issue. The only problem with this is that if we do not deal with an issue as soon as it has occurred it will rear its head in another situation and often with more severity.

You may have heard the clich about The teacher will continue to appear until you have learned the lesson, well whenever we suppress an issue we are effectively telling the teacher to come back later and teach me the lesson again some other time.

Unfortunately this becomes a problem because the more we disregard an issue the greater the issue will become.

As an example, I had a client once who used to get heart palpitations and unfortunately he did nothing about it until one day he had a massive heart attack. You may also be familiar with people who have dismissed the early signs or symptoms of an issue and then been whacked by a sledge hammer at a later date.

I encourage all of you to be very open and forth coming with any issues, stressors or problems you are having in your life at this stage, because if you deal with them now they will not become major events in the future.
