Safe Spray Tan Advice

Article:Tanning booths are now a regular method to ensure people in 'sun poor' countries can have that all over tan every day of the year. It is the dangers of overexposure to the sun that has lead to this prevalence of alternative methods at the same time that skin cancer is on the increase, but it is emerging that even tanning beds have their own set of health concerns. Spray tanning is the latest of the artificial tanning methods and is becoming very popular as a safe method which produces excellent results without the danger of sun exposure or tanning beds. If you want to have a fake color that does not have streak marks then spraying seems to be the superior system over creams and lotions.

There are now home spray tanning systems available but these may not be the easiest to use on your own although regular users they could save money and time. A better alternative may be to employ the services of a mobile spray tanning company that will travel to your home to help you get the tan you are looking for. Regardless of the tanning method you choose (spray, cream or lotion) there are a few basic steps to follow to ensure that you get the best results possible. Cleaning the dead skin off your body is the most important step using a proprietary exfoliation scrub which can be bought from any drugstore. If you apply a tan agent to dead skin it will just fall off and leave light spots in its place.

To complete this part of the preparation, the skin needs to be moist and ready to accept the tan so a good skin moisturizer will need to be applied all over. Once you have done this you will be ready to apply the tanning lotion or cream but remember to wear latex gloves if you are self applying the tan, as long applications mean that the tanning solution coats the hands producing an orange effect on the palms which everyone can see. All your joints i.e. knuckles, elbows, knees and ankles will need to be given a lighter coat as these areas will appear much darker and everyone will know what you have been doing! Where a spray tanning system has been used it is quite normal, once it has been applied, to use some sort of towel to wipe any excess so streaking does not occur.

Once the tanning agent (whatever type you have used) has been applied you will need to have somewhere to relax and not move while the coating dries or small smear marks might occur. Consider what you are going to wear once you have applied the fake tan as it tends to stain objects, in particular clothing. Obviously darker clothing is the best option so the staining will not be as visible, and if possible, something that you will not worry about if it gets damaged. Now that you have this information it should be much easier having a fake tan without anyone knowing.

Of course, to seal the deal, you should consider getting a professional to apply the tan. Their experience minimises the chances of color streaking or over colouration in the wrong places. Usually they will get much better results than if you had decided to apply your own tan. About the author of this article: don't forget to take some dark clothing for when you get your spray tan as the tanning spray can stain clothes. most importantly, ask your spray tan professional for advice before you get it done. they will know all of the things that you need to do and bring! http://thebronzingboutique.com.au
